DALLAS, TX (MARCH 2019) — On a Saturday right before Spring Break and a day after International Women’s Day, Pacifica held an event to celebrate the beginning of spring.

During the spring festival, 7 different vendors providing prizes and games for the participants. BBVA, Camp Gladiator, The Dallas Police Department- Red Bird Outreach unit, Good Will, So Silly Celebrations, Credit Union, Workforce Solution, and many individuals who volunteered to help at the event were very excited to take part at this very important cause.

The kids had the opportunity to enjoy face painting and balloon artistry organized by So Silly Celebrations and have a small booth camp that Camp Gladiator helped to organize. The older residents had vendors as BBVA, Workforce Solution, Credit Union, and Goodwill to provide information about different available services and fun entertaining games with many prizes for each participant.

The Dallas Police Department – Red Bird Mall outreach unit, who also came to support our community, as always has great popularity within the community. To hear the chatter and conversations and see the community interact with the policemen like they are best friends makes it all fun.

One of the residents, who has five girls, was very excited to read about this event. “Thank you so much for organizing it, we don’t get many events like that and they (the kids) really need this, especially because it is the spring break.” Further, she stated that “it means the world for the kids in the community because they don’t have many opportunities to enjoy fun activities as arts and crafts and face-painting.”

“To hear all the comments and get hugs from people that you don’t know is always heartwarming. It makes me want to create more events like that, where the community come together on a sunny Saturday for a few hours to relax and enjoy each other’s company,” noted Anya Volchkov, Polaris Community Coordinator.
