SAN FRANCISCO, CA (June 2024) – Polaris is excited to announce a new partnership with Prison to Purpose, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals transitioning from the justice system back into society.
With the statement “Retraining Your Mind, Realizing Your Purpose”, Prison to Purpose aims to transform the lives of those impacted by incarceration by providing them with the tools and skills necessary for a successful reentry into the community. Through education, mentorship, and job readiness training, the organization helps individuals discover and embrace their new purpose.
The program includes a 12-week curriculum with three interactive workbooks focusing on personal development, life management, and responsible thinking. Participants engage in sessions that cover a range of critical topics, including accountability, rebuilding trust, empathy, coping skills, conflict resolution, effective communication, time management, financial management, healthcare management, and critical thinking.
Sessions are held every Tuesday and Thursday from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Pacifica Apartments clubhouse, where light refreshments are provided during breaks. We anticipate welcoming about 20 participants to each session, creating a supportive and interactive environment for learning and growth.
This partnership underscores Polaris commitment to supporting community initiatives that foster personal development and positive societal outcomes. We’re excited to collaborate with Prison to Purpose and look forward to making a meaningful impact on the lives of those transitioning back into society.
