The event took place in March and featured various activities and resources for the residents.
PREP has teamed up with several community organizations, including the Girl Scouts, South Dallas Employment Project, Dallas Jr. Police Academy, and others, to bring this event to life. The event featured music and a food truck, providing delicious food for residents. Thanks to the sponsorship of Wilkinson Center, residents had access to fresh and nutritious food.
In addition to the fun and food, the event also offered resources and information for residents. Denise Gomez from Children’s Medical Center presented information on CHIP and Medicaid, with the hope of getting more kids insured. The Girl Scouts brought 3-4 engaging activities, including egg hunts for kids. First United Bank offered banking options for residents and financial literacy information, while Metrocare provided an information table.
