SAN FRANCISCO, CA (SEPTEMBER 2022). This year, Polaris Real Estate Partners continues our 8th annual back-to-school backpack giveaway tradition. Over the past month, we gave a total of 595 mesh backpacks filled with school supplies to children and youths living in our community to help them prepare for the 2022-2023 school year.
As part of the company’s efforts to ensure a fun and safe event in each site, the backpack giveaway event is also combined with various pool parties and summer activities in each community. Besides food and entertainment, residents can also utilize the event as a way to find resources for family support and other social services in the neighborhood.
“Back to school is always a special time for students every year. Therefore, it is especially important for Polaris to honor this tradition to help provide reassurance and consistency in an ever-changing and unpredictable environment. We feel that we have a responsibility to foster a sense of community at our properties,” Polaris’ General Partner Travis Pacoe stated. “We hope that these backpacks help our communities’ children feel more grounded, and their parents supported, as they begin school this year.”
